At Ringwood Brewery our award-winning beers are brewed in the traditional way using only the finest natural ingredients: premium malted barley from Dorset and Devon together with hops from the best growers in Kent and Worcestershire. The rest is down to our famous yeast strain and the skill and dedication of our brewers.
Best Bitter
Delicious, easy drinking slightly tart pale bitter. Ringwood Best Bitter won a Bronze Medal at the Munich Beer Festival in September 2005. 3.8 % abv.
Fortyniner
Golden full-bodied malted beer, silver medal winner at the 1996 International Beer Competition at Burton-on-Trent. The name is taken from the beers strength at 4.9% but also evokes its golden colour. Ringwood has been brewing Fortyniner since 1978 and over the years it's received many awards. 4.9% abv.
Old Thumper
Warm, rounded yet surprisingly delicate pale strong beer. It has won many awards but is best remembered for being voted Champion beer of Britain by Camra in 1988. Old Thumper is also available in a 500ml bottle. The bottled version won gold at the British Bottlers' Institute Competition in 1996 and silver in 1998. 5.6% abv.
