Marston’s Pedigree has shelf-appeal
Marston’s Pedigree has refreshed its 500ml bottle label with a more contemporary design for 2015. 28th January 2015
Replacing the retro-looking oval label from the brand’s 60th birthday in 2012, the lighter and brighter colours within a new square shape will guarantee improved shelf-appeal.
The front of the label features an illustration of three barrels and the legend ‘matured in oak barrels’ to remind drinkers about the unique way in which the beer is made in the Burton Union System. This is further reinforced by the signature of Mark Newton the brewery’s on-site cooper.
The neck label prompts the brand’s continued association as the Official Beer of England Cricket in this, an at-home Ashes year.
Gaynor Green, Brand Marketing Manager for Marston’s Pedigree commented: “In a competitive market place we wanted a better stand-out appeal on shelf for the shopper whilst reminding them of our unique brewing method: We remain enormously proud to be the only brewer left in the world that still ferments its ale in the traditional Burton Union System using oak barrels and wanted the label to reference our story.”
