With the gates open for the afternoon, beer fans were able to sample eleven different beers from across the Marston’s beer portfolio. The hog roast, live band, Shallow Waters and vintage vehicle rally kept the adults entertained while the visiting children enjoyed the dray rides, face painting, balloon modelling, falconry displays and ice creams!

Meanwhile, everyone was kept in line by the patron saint himself, St. George, ably ‘played’ by Graham Benford from Trunking and Distribution who had a few balloon sword fights along the way!

Event organiser, Amie Cater said: “We celebrated our patron saint in true style! Despite the April showers we had record numbers visiting us on the day; the beers went down well, the music was brilliant and our visitors were entertained by Saint George himself!

“It’s great to see the number of visitors growing year by year as this popular event becomes an annual fixture for the town.”

Burton-based vehicle supplier to Marston’s, Keltruck, raised £890 for Help for Heroes on the day through a bucket collection.
