The Greenstone, a brand new pub and restaurant in Dereham, opened on May 18, creating 45 new jobs in the area.
“We had a fantastic first day,” said Rob Maton, who runs the pub with his wife Joanne. “We’ve been non-stop since we opened, and everyone seems very happy with the pub.”
The Greenstone has been built by Marston’s Inns and Taverns and can cater for up to 180 diners. The pub offers a Milestone Carvery, with freshly roast beef, lamb and turkey every day, and there’s a selection of other home cooked meals and a wide range of drinks, wines, lagers and Marston’s cask ales, along with some locally brewed ales.
“We’ve passed all our expectations, and everything is going really well,” added Rob.
“We’re really pleased the Greenstone has had such a great welcome from the local community,“ said David Carvell, Area Operations Manager for Marston’s Inns and Taverns. “We’re aiming to be a hub for the local community and we’re very happy that they enjoy our excellent value for money, great food and fantastic customer service.”
