Jennings raises money for the Cockermouth Mountain Rescue Team

Jennings raises money for the Cockermouth Mountain Rescue Team- keeping us safe whilst we Explore More of the Lake District fells. 29th September 2014

We were delighted to hand over a huge £1475.21 to the Cockermouth Mountain Rescue Team that we raised at the Jennings Family Fun Day earlier this month. The team were over the moon with the amount and have already decided to put the money to good use, purchasing a lifesaving piece of equipment that can be used when rescuing stranded walkers from our Lake District fells. The pulse table is designed to aid the breathing of the injured person for up to 30mins and the team have said this will be a great help to the rescue work they do.

The local team is run entirely by volunteers who give up their time help the injured or stranded visitors to the Lake District fells. The team have invited the staff of Jennings to visit their base and to see the equipment and vehicles they use later next month. A great charity who we are delighted to support- keep up the great work!
