“Everyone had a great time,” said Paul Young, who manages the Queen of the Loch. “It’s already proved to be really popular – the lodge was fully booked for the Easter weekend, and we had over 3,500 likes on our Facebook page before we’d even opened!”

The new pub, which was built by Marston’s Inns and Taverns, also boasts its own cosy 27 room lodge and can cater for up to 180 diners. It’s a Milestone carvery family pub restaurant offering freshly roast beef, lamb and ham every day, alongside a daily menu of traditional pub favourites.

Named after Loch Lomond, it is the perfect place to rest after a day out climbing Ben Lomond, boating on the loch or even sampling the best of the local ales in one of the brewery tours.

“We’re really excited about the Queen of the Loch,” added Paul. “We’ve been very warmly welcomed by the community and we hope this event and others will go some way to cementing our place at the heart of the community for years to come.”
