Marston’s Brewery in Burton achieved the highest accolade – an AA grade – in the BRC Global Standards Food Safety annual audit. Beating last year’s grade and securing top marks in each section of the audit, this amazing achievement shows our commitment to delivering high quality products. It highlights the strong business ethics at the heart of production and delivery and reinforces our excellent industry-wide reputation.
Wolverhampton-based Banks’s Brewery secured an A grade and, with only six minors, was one away from achieving the top grading. Eagle Brewery in Bedford was awarded the same grade back in October. This is a really great achievement for all our breweries and demonstrates that we have the right systems in place to produce and deliver products that are safe for our consumers.
Each site was graded on over 260 clauses – from food safety policies to site security, equipment maintenance, training, building standards and waste management – securing top marks in each category.
This highly regarded standard was developed by industry experts to ensure the attainment and maintenance of high standards for product safety and quality in the food manufacturing, processing and packing industry. It enables customers to evaluate us against a highly sought after and globally recognised standard.
