We’ve got the Midas touch!

Marston’s is celebrating a double win at the MIDAS (Menu Innovation and Development Awards) awards! MIDAS recognises talented menu development teams and chefs across the UK, using a team of mystery diners and judges pick the winners in 28 categories.

This year, Marston’s picked up the ‘Best Neighbourhood Pub’ award for its Village menu, beating off some tough competition from the likes of Greene King and Mitchells & Butler. The judges were looking for creativity, appeal and value for money.

And, the icing on the cake was our very own Nicola Arrow, Head of Food Category Management, taking the ‘Jason Snyders Head of Food Award’. The award, presented by Chef Brian Turner, celebrates an industry leader, who’s paving the way when it comes to menu development and innovation. With just a handful of female leaders in the industry, we’re really proud of Nicola’s achievements.

She said: “I’m over the moon to have won this award – it came as a total surprise because the team nominated me in secret! We’ve had a really successful 12 months and this award is testament to the hard work and dedication from my team. It’s a big thanks from me to everyone involved!”

We’ve previously won ‘Best Value’ and ‘Best Community’ menus, as well as taking the top prize in the Kids’ category four times. This year, we were shortlisted for an incredible five awards and to take two of the top spots is a huge win for Marston’s!
