Top industry recognition
Marston’s celebrated at the World Beer Awards recently with a trio of wins for Hobgoblin IPA, 61 Deep and Old Empire.

We’re always working hard to make sure we’re the ‘best for beer’, so it’s always a proud moment when our beers are recognised by the industry for their taste and quality – and this is no exception!
We’re thrilled that Hobgoblin IPA won World’s Best English Style IPA, 61 Deep achieved a gold award in the Taste – English Style Pale Ale category and Old Empire achieved a silver in the Taste – English Style IPA category for 2018.
The World Beer Awards select the very best in taste and design, awarding and promoting the world’s best beers to consumers and trade across the globe.
Over 2,300 beers from more than 50 countries entered across nine categories and a panel of industry experts blind tasted and scored the entries across three rounds of judging.
Each beer is tasted in its relevant style category and an overall winner is selected. Gold, silver and bronze awards are given for highly commended beers.
