Visit our famous Albion Brewery described as a ‘cathedral of brewing’ and home to Marston’s since 1898. Discover how we make our beers including our flagship Pedigree, on our fully guided tour... and yes of course you can enjoy a sample!

Learn about the brewing process from mashing to fermentation, see how traditional brewing methods have evolved and view our world renowned Burton Union System.

Brewery tours take approximately two hours and include sampling of 3 x half pints in Marston’s Visitor’s Centre.

61 Deep. Newest brew on the Burton block. 61 metres. That’s the depth of the well at the Brewery that gives this refreshing pale ale its name The five American and Australian hops give it its fresh, zesty aroma, whilst the tropical fruit and citrus notes make it extremely drinkable. This finest creamy smooth is a beautifully crafted beer. It has all the easy-drinking attributes you would expect from a smooth ale, but also has an underlying depth and character. The late addition of American Cascade Hops deliverers its enticing aroma and moreish citrus finish - 3.6% abv.

A few pearls about our stout. It’s a nod to classic English Oyster Stouts often complimented by (but not containing) shellfish. Hints of chocolate, coffee and sweet treacle flavours and yet quite smooth and clean-tasting. Not that we’d ever crow about it - 4.1% abv.

Pedigree is unique – not only is it still brewed in oak casks, but it’s the only beer left in Britain that’s brewed using Burton well water. Marston's Resolution

Marston's Resolution delivers punchy flavours and lots of character. In order to deliver all of that wonderful flavour, which Marston's is renowned for, Marston's Resolution undergoes a double fermentation process which turns all sugars into alcohol.

Step inside...

Step inside the famous Victorian Park Brewery in Wolverhampton-home to Banks’s since 1875. Discover the 100% natural ingredients that make Banks’s beers and how these have remained unchanged for centuries while learning about the brewing process from mashing to fermentation, and see how traditional brewing methods have evolved.

The tour takes approximately two hours and this includes a guided tour of the brewery and the opportunity to enjoy three half pints of Banks’s finest cask ales in our Visitor Centre. You can take Banks’s home with you from the Brewery Shop, and choose from our selection of cask conditioned, bottled, canned beers, and gifts.

Jennings Brewery was originally established as a true family concern back in 1828, in the village of Lorton. The company moved to its current location in 1874, to the historic town of Cockermouth, in the shadow of Cockermouth castle, at the point where the rivers Cocker and Derwent merge.

Jennings regards itself as a traditional brewer, traditional in a number of different ways. Pure Lakeland water is still used for brewing, drawn from the brewery’s own well only the finest natural ingredients are added, including English pale ale malt and carefully selected old English hops.

Bitter

A distinctively darker bitter, with a really moreish taste and a very drinkable strength – it makes the ideal session beer. Brewed with English pale ale and amber malt, to give a nutty flavour that supports a subtle blend of English aromatic hops.
Most popular in the Lake District, Jennings heartland, but it is appreciated by countless drinkers in many other parts of the county too. Jennings Bitter is the original beer to come from the Cockermouth brewery and been brewed for over a hundred years.
Bitter has won the Campaign for Real Ale Award for the Champion Beer of the North West 2009, a bronze award in 2013 International Beer Challenge and more recently bronze awards in the tasting and design and packaging categories in 2014 - 3.5% abv.

Cocker Hoop

An award winning golden bitter which won gold in the World’s best beer Awards (European) 2013 and more recently a silver medal at the International Beer Challenge 2014.
A bitter beer of great character, appealing to those drinkers who really appreciate their beer and are looking for quality.
Launched in 1995 as ‘September Ale’, Jennings Cocker Hoop has become hugely popular, particularly with Lake District tourists in summer.
The name is derived from ‘Cock-a Hoop’, an old custom of removing the cock (or spigot) from a barrel and resting it on the hoop of the cask before commencing a drinking bout, but was changed to reflect the brewery’s location on the banks of the River Cocker - 4.2% abv.

A superb golden coloured ale, brewed with English pale Ale malt and using only the finest English aromatic hops. Traditionally brewed using pure Lakeland water drawn from the brewery 's own well. Cumberland has become a firm favourite nationwide and is Jennings best-selling brand outside the Lake District.

Sneck Lifter

An award winning strong, satisfying ale, wonderfully warming and full of complex flavours, which create an intriguing beer of great character.
This dark beer with a reddish tinge, derived from the use of coloured malts, perfectly balanced with specially formulated brewing sugars and English aromatic hops.
First introduced in 1990 as a winter warmer, Jennings Sneck Lifter has become a firm favourite in the portfolio.
In northern dialect sneck means door latch and a sneck lifter was a man’s last sixpence which enabled him to lift the latch of a pub door and buy himself a pint, hoping to meet friends there who might treat him to one or two more.
Sneck Lifter won bronze awards in 2011 in both the International Beer Challenge and the Brewing Industry International Awards. In 2013 it won a silver award from CAMRA for Champion Winter Beer of Britain (Regional and National). A bronze award from the International Beer Challenge in 2013 and more recently a silver award in the tasting category of the International Beer Challenge 2014 - 5.1% abv.

The brewery tour experience at the Ringwood Brewery in Hampshire takes approximately one and a half hours. This includes, a tour of the brewery, an opportunity to taste the three types of malted barleys used in the brewing process, the option to sniff a number of different hops, and you will also get to see a brew fermenting in the Tun Room.

The tour also includes a tasting session where you will get to try our current range of crafted beers, and the opportunity to browse our Brewery Store which is crammed with various gifts, goodies, and an unrivaled range of bottled and draught beers.

We provide all our guests with a complimentary glass on departure.

The brewery tour experience is a Visit England ‘Quality Assured Visitor Attraction’ for 2014.

Unfortunately, due to the nature and layout of our Brewery, there is limited access to certain areas which may not be suitable for all. Boondoggle

Boondoggle is an American term first coined in the 1920’s. Boondoggle is a word meaning 'work of little value' which we have interpreted to mean 'Jolly' or ‘any excuse for a pint’.
Boondoggle delivers a hoppy aroma with a citrus punch. This followed by a well-balanced moreish fruity taste. Boondoggles unique character is a result of the use of the finest English Pale Malt, First Gold and Fuggles Hops.
Boondoggle is a deliciously fruity ale affectionately crafted to savour and satisfy. 4.2% abv in cask and 4.2% abv in bottle.

Circadian

Our First IPA only available in bottles for the time being. Circadian means a pattern reoccurring naturally on a 24 hour cycle. At Ringwood we thought it would be the perfect name for our new 'Everyday IPA'. To give Circadian the full flavour of an IPA whilst keeping the ABV to a sessionable 4.5% we use 5 exotic hops.

This gives a wonderful aroma and a refreshing hoppy finish.

49er gets its unique name from the 1849 gold rush and also the fact that it is golden in colour and brewed to 4.9% in both cask and bottle.
49er has been our premium golden craft ale since first brewed in 1978. Fortyniner, is bright and full of rich flavours to satisfy the most refined palate.
49er delivers a fresh hop bouquet, turning into a slightly malty taste off set with strong hop balance, and deep bittersweet finish - a true connoisseurs pint. This is a result of the use of floor-malted Maris Otter barley, Goldings, Progress, Fuggles and Challenger hops. It is 4.9% abv in cask and bottle

Old Thumper

Ringwood's most iconic beer was first brewed in late 1979 without a name. A competition in the local press inspired a local consumer to come up with a suitable suggestion!
Old Thumper has a distinctive aroma, a slightly peppery spicy aroma with a hint of apples. There is a luscious balance of grain and hop in the mouth a bitter sweet finish with delicate fruit notes. The result is a warm rounded yet surprisingly delicate pale strong beer. sb.Append("

Home of the legendary Hobgoblin, the Wychwood Brewery is tucked away behind the main street of the market town of Witney. Brewing in the town dates back to 1811 and the Wychwood Brewery is sited in the Old Eagle Maltings, built more than 150 years ago when barley was malted for the towns brewery.

Brewery tours run on Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons throughout the year (excl. public holidays).

The full tour experience lasts approximately 2 hours and takes you through the brewing process of Wychwood and Brakspear beers, from the raw ingredients, taking in the Copper, Mash Tun and Brakspear’s famous ‘double-drop’ system. You are also invited to sample our flagship legendary Hobgoblin beer and sample a range of Wychwood and Brakspear bottled beers, all of which are available to purchase from our brewery store.

Accessibility

Due to the nature and layout of the brewhouse there is limited access to certain areas which may not be suitable for all. A full access statement is available. Unfortunately we cannot accept children under the age of 12 years.

It was in a shadowy corner of the old maltings of the Wychwood Brewery that the first gurgle was heard –a delicious ruby ale pouring from the cask. The Oxfordshire Beer

The current range of Brakspear Beers includes the famous ‘Double-Dropped’ Brakspear Bitter, Brakspear Oxford Gold blonde beer, Brakspear Triple in bottle, as well as a range of seasonal cask ales including old favourites such as Hooray Henley and Oh Be Joyful.

Following the closure of Brakspear Brewery in Henley in 2002, a £1million redevelopment of the Wychwood Brewery site was undertaken to move the brewing of Brakspear beers. This included moving and re-installing at Wychwood much of the original Brakspear brewing equipment, including the original Brakspear Copper, dating from 1779, and the famous Brakspear ‘Double Drop’ fermentation vessels, used to brew Brakspear Bitter and Brakspear Triple.

Tours of The Wychwood Brewery include the original Henley On Thames brewing plant including the famous Brakspear copper and the double-drop fermentation system.
